Oh Allah, I ask you for “afw” and “afiyah” in this world and the next, Oh Allah I ask you for “awf” and “afiyah” in my deen, my dunya, my family and my wealth. Oh Allah please cover my nakedness, and safeguard my honor. Oh Allah please protect me from what lies in front of me and behind me, from what lies on my right and left, from what may come from above, and I seek your protection from what might blindside me from below.
Afw and Afiyah are concepts akin to “wellbeing” security or safety.
